Mr. Sexy: Steph Jones

"Mr. Sexy of the Moment" (or until i think of a better name)

I'm gonna jack this idea from Kanye's blog, where he features hot girl pics on his blog. But since i'm a female and i'm into males, i'll be strictly sticking to the most attractive, hottest, sexiest eye candy around. lol

First up is a guy by the name of Steph Jones.
The L.A. native is an up & coming RnB artist and I first heard of this guy while reading Concrete Loop. He has a song out right now called "Shooting Star"..... honestly idk how well it will do because it is heavily autotuned but he is smexi so that might be his way to to the lime light.... that and better song production of course.

T-Pain fears Guyana

Soooo I thought this article in the NY Times was just hilarious for some reason....

In the article, it says "Neither T-Pain, above, nor his trademark top hat nor his Vocoder device will be at a concert in Guyana after he was threatened with kidnapping or death, The Associated Press reported. T-Pain, whose real name is Faheem Najm, was scheduled to perform a concert in that South American nation on Monday night as part of its Mashramani festival, which celebrates Guyana’s independence from Britain. But the show’s promoter canceled the event after receiving what he said were “credible death and kidnapping threats” against T-Pain via e-mail messages and telephone calls. A police commander for the area told The A.P. that the local authorities were investigating."

I know this isn't a laughing matter, but when i read this article all i could think was a mob of angry guyanese people shouting "T-pain betta not come down here with tha auto tune business, nothing but bear nonsense". (the carribean infulence) lmao

Rihanna BDay | Lady Gaga's Tampon | Gay N' Tight

Rihanna's Birthday

Today is Rihanna's 21st BDay and with everything that is surrounding her with the media, and the case with CB, today probably will be the worst birthday she has had for a while. Not to mention, the release/leak of the pic showing her bruises yesterday. It seems like they [the media] were just timing it off too, smh... idk she better press charges against CB otherwise she is complete fool. Hope she still is able to put a smile on her face today though.

Lady Gaga on some beach

Next up Lady Gaga ....
Things we know about Lady Gaga:
1. She is a crazy sex fiend
2. Her music is catchy
3. She doesn't understand the concept of wearing pants (long pants) .... at all

#3 brings us into the next pic.... there is just a time and place when you just have to put on some pants that come past your knee. Like I understand Gaga you love showing all that you got to the world while your on stage but jeeeeezzzzzzz its bad when your tampon is showing through as well.

visual tampon alert...

smh (-_- ) that view could have been avoided if she had just worn some jeans.....

----------------

Finally, who do you think are wearing these most fashionably tight jeans??? hmmm... maybe Paris Hilton? or could it be one of them Olsen twins???

pretty tight right????

Well, its neither boys and girls. It some wierd guy....

wtf??? its a man!!!

But who he is, IS NOT IMPORTANT. The fact that guys think its cool to wear jeans this tight is the problem... its a bad trend for guys and who ever put the idea into their heads that its cool is highly mistaken. The following video actually expresses the way I feel about this whole issue perfectly. I present to you:
Gay N' Tight (a rap over Kid CuDi's Day N' Nite)

Like the video says when you can shop for skinny jeans with me, theres a problem ...

Now i'm off to do all that homework that i've been pushing off for the past 4 days (procrastination is a real b****)

Leave Comments!!!!! =D

I'm on a Boat Feat. T-Pain

"Yeah, never thought I'd be on a boat
It's a big blue watery road (yeah)
[Poseidon] Look at me, oh (all hands on deck)

When a big boat comin my way
Believe me when I say, I fucked a mermaid" - T-Pain

That "Good Hair"

Recently, idk what to do with my hair. I have a perm (sadly) and my hair has been getting thinner and im just not feeling it. I want to do something different but i just cant put my hand on it. I've always wanted to go back to natural hair.... but the transition phase is just too crazy. I dont think im ready for that just yet, So its between tracks (weave) or some afrocentric braids...... any suggestions?

But this brings me to my next subject!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris Rock has a new film called "Good Hair" out, which i've been really interested in seeing. The documentary explores the stigma associated to african american hair as being "bad hair". And it all started when Rock's daughter, Lola, came to him crying asked "Daddy, how come I don't have good hair?". This led Chris on a trip around the world to find the source that put this thought into his daughter's head.

In the film, which is directed by Jeff Stilson, Chris travels to local hair salons, styling competitons and even ends up in India to find where all that weave comes from and why black culture needs it so. He interviews celebs like Nia Long, Al Sharpton, Ice T, and Maya Angelou for their insight on the issue and their own experiences. And ultimately, Chirs comes down to the cold and harsh truth that the answer his daughter is seeking is alot more complicated than it may seem

To see the full article, and official website for Chris Rock's Good Hair, click here ...

--------- my thoughts ---------------

I'm so excited to see this film and I can't wait until HBO finally airs it. This topic is one that has long been looked over or brushed aside in the black community. And this will finally shed some light to the ugly stigma that follows women who dont necessarily share the 3 requirements to hair beauty. (Long, Straight & Silky)

It seems like every black female star we see must have the long weave pass their shoulders to be pretty. I would really like to see what half of them look like without the weave and just be satisfied with their own "god-given hair", as my mom would say.

But I'm not a hater or anything don't get me wrong. I'm an avid supporter of weave, extensions or whatever you want to call it. I've tried it all. But its just time that any kind of hair you have can be considered completely beautiful hair.

White Boy Music - Asher Roth

So i was on a.i.m. last night, and i saw my friend promoting a rapper named Asher Roth . I never heard any of his music before or even his name by that chance. So i googled him and he's a funny guy. (Everyone is saying he sounds alot like Eminem, and he does.) He's been around for a while actually, and has gotten alot of publicity already from the likes of Kanye and Akon.
Check out his video, I Love College :

"cant tell you what i learned from school
but i could tell you a story or two
umm yea of course i learned some rules,
like dont pass out with your shoes on
and dont leave the house till the booze gone
and dont have sex if shes too gone
when it comes to condoms put two on
then tomorrow night find a new jawn
hold the beer bong, nothing wrong with some fun
even if we did get a little just too drunk"

I Got A Lust For Life....

"I'm trying to do it all tonight ... i got plans. i got a certain lust for life and as it stands, everything is going as right as it can. they trying to shoot down my flight, before it lands." [Lust for Life - Drake]

Iiighhtttt, well Thursday night i was up mad late to like 12:15 am waiting for that new Drake mixtape to drop and attempting to do homework. But the whole homework thing didn't quite work out like how i planned it to. The comments on the blogs were just too funny. I mean I must have refreshed a thousand times because angry Drake fans go hard.

But yea past that.... I didnt even listen to it that night, it was delayed soo I said i was gonna download it in the morning.... f that. I barely had enough time to make it to my train. So from 8 am to 5 pm, i'm in school doing a whole bunch of nothing. I get home, i fall asleep. (-_-) Now, i finally download the ish anddddddddd my thoughts about it are??????

i'm happy theres some new stuff from him but im not amazed with it. idk y tho???? i like drake whether he sings or rap... but maybe i was expecting wayyyy to much from him. Theres a hell of alot more RnB this time around on the tape than on Comeback Season. (which is all good) But I felt like I didnt get all those witty punchlines or those rhymes that really make you go back and think.

Maybe if I hadnt heard like half the songs through leaks already this mixtape would have gotten a A+. But its at at A- to B+ for me right now, i gotta grow on track #4.

Drake Tracks You Should Listen 2 (both new and old):
Lust for Life
A Night Off ft Lloyd
Houstatlantavegas
November 18th
Sucessful ft Trey Songz
Unstoppable Remix
Friends With Money
I Want This Forever
Sooner Than Later
Im Still Fly Freestyle
Think Good Thoughts ft Phonte
Brand New
Decieving
Bitch Is Crazy (very funny lol)
Give Ya ft Trey Songz

I Just Can't Win.... smh

Ok, so today my mom picked me up from the lirr train station to take me to the doctor after none of her so called "remedies" worked. So automatically when i hop in the car, my first instinct is to change the radio to a station I want like. (97.1, 105.1 or Z100) But today i felt the need to switch it up and play a cd i burned of some songs i like. Everything was going all smooth and dandy until my mom pulls up at the corner store and tells me to run in and get her a calling card (those cards west indian ppl use to call overseas). So not thinking that half the songs on my cd have curses, I get out, get the card, get me a cream soda and go back to the car. First thing i hear is "girl I got that dope dick now come here let me dope you" O.o

At that point, I knew that was my life because that wasnt even the first few lines of the song. I get in the car and flip to the next song, and now she is just staring at me like what was that song talking about. And all i can say is "idk...." because more than likely she probably didnt hear every line of it. But since the song makes sure to emphasize the word "Pussy" (( in case your wondering, the song is Every Girl - Young Money )) I knew she heard that part.

So now she gives me this long lecture about how "she can't stand rap music, its full of violence, sex, and thugs" and "why do i listen to that garbage, it just leading kids to do bad things" ..... and so on.

At this point i'm not even going to bother to fight back. So all i say "it doesnt always talk about that stuff" and i put the radio on hot 97. Conviently, just to prove my mom's point, the Blame It Remix comes on with Young Jeezy rapping. And he says, quote, "the way she skaking that ass, i think i got an erection, i think i got an erection but thats really the question". ..... WTF???? i couldn't even undersand why he would say that in a song to begin with.

So after that I was done, i just switched to the lite music station for the rest of the ride. I just can't ever win.

Wha Wha What Is This???? Lmao

Diddy being as rich as he is has forgotten the simple concept of a $1 dollar bill.

(LMAO) Just look at him, he probably looked around for help or something to grasp this concept of a single dollar bill.

Diddy: "WTF is this??? Something isnt right here... it ... it looks like the others but... but it's different. Why does it have a 1 on it?"

Another Day At Home | Drake's New Album Tomorrow

So as you can see from the time of this post and the pic. I'm still sick and I am still at home sadly. I kinda miss school right about now ..... but just a little. This morning was interesting because the fact that I was still sick (chills, fever, really gruesome cough, etc) made my mom take drastic measures to ensure I get well. She pulled out the old west indian remedies that are just pure torture.
First she rubbed me down with hot shinnning oil (the yellow oil in the glass bottle) mixed with Vicks & Coconut Oil. (smh). All of those things put together = a horrible smell that lasts all day long, and even more chills.

Then she felt the need to mix all these things together in a bowl with extremely hott water to produce steam and make me smell the fumes for a good 20 minutes. Not to mention that she threw a towel over my head to guarentee I get every once of the smell in.

The good thing is these things tend to work, so i'll probably be all good by tomorrow.

---------------------- On a totally different subject -------------------

Drake's new mixtape, So Far Gone drops tomorrow!!!!!!!! & I can't wait. I'm a huge Drake fan and I've been addicted to his music ever I first heard Brand New. (I'm Still Fly Freestyle sealed my addiction). Drake is really one talented dude and has been moving from the mixtape/underground scene to mainstream audience. From touring with Lil Wayne and getting signed to Interscope Records it looks like 09 will be his year. So haterz stop all the hating on lil Jimmy from Degrassi.

Some songs that have been leaked from So Far Gone are:
Little Bit - Drake ft Lykke Li
Ignorant Shit - Drake ft Lil Wayne
Unstoppable Remix - Drake, Santogold, Lil Wayne

One Lonely Tuesday ....

<---------- See those things over there.... those were my only companions as I felt like someone was slowly cutting off all my oxygen supply this morning. I literally must have overdosed on all of these things except the Mucinex. (i dont mess with that). So I stayed home from school, slept for an amazing 8 hours, and made cupcakes with mommy. Now im here writing on my blog for no reason at all when i have two nights worth of homework to make up. But what can i say "Ni***s procrastinate 'til it's time to worry." - Martin Luther King on The Boondocks.
Nevertheless, on a whole 'nother topic. I stumbled upon the whole beef video thing with 50 cent vs. Rick Ross. And even though I hate 50 with a passion, he produced some good stuff. These videos dissing Rick Ross (BOSS!!!) are hilarious so enjoy. I know i certainly did while I was almost dying.

Good Boy Gone Bad

Rihanna & Chris Brown

Soooooooo just as you think Ri-Ri and CB are living in a perfect world together, persuing their dreams and being in love. CB decides its time to show his true colors and let Rihanna know who really is the man in the relationship (idk thats just my theory). It seems like early Sunday morning, Chris Brown and Rihanna got into a confrontation after returning from Clive Davis' pre-Grammy event. A few words were said, and allegedly a couple of hits were thrown as well. Then it seems like Chris Brown kicked Rihanna out the car where she then called police. Rihanna allegedly had visible bruises on her face and arms and identified Brown as her attacker. (tsk tsk Rihanna, never let a guy put his hands on you)

Both Ri-Ri and CB who was scheduled to appear at the Grammys, cancelled their appearances. And around 6:30 pm, CB was taken to a LAPD station where he was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats. (DAMNN!!!!! that could be a 4 year stay in jail). But have no fear, he was quickly released after paying only $50,000. Nevertheless, the big question issssss, Was Rihanna really victimized? No one knows as of yet, but I'm sure it will soon all come to light.

(Damn CB, kinda sucks for you though if its all true. No more performing with Rihanna. No more pool time with Rihanna. No more kissing Rihanna. No more you and Rihanna dressing alike. No more having Rihanna's crotch on your leg. smh. what a lost. )

.....

Grammy fashion .... was interesting.

Grammy fashion .... idk. They say everyone has there own personal outlook on whats hot and whats not. But I felt the fashion at the Grammys was either dull or it was a terrible, terrible trainwreck waiting to explode at any moment. Even elite stars like J. Hudson seemed to miss the boat on this one. (but because i love her, i'm not gonna put any pics up of her). However, these are the looks that got a "NAY!!!" from me.

Maiysha and the King of Thieves

First up, is singer Maiysha. She's probably very talented and she is beautiful. BUT!!!, her attire just went wrong somewhere along the line. (especially for an event like the Grammys). Her entire outfit just reminds me of something out of Aladdin. Could it be that she was aiming to be a modern day Jasmine... who knows.

Solange

And then there was Solange. I know everyone wants to be sexy and show off the body. BUT!!! put that away girl. Your not going out to a club (*cough* strip club *cough*). This is the Grammys mannnn. Put on a beautiful, elegant dress. It doesn't even have to be down to your knees just use more material. smh. She know she can't even bend down in this dress.

M.I.A.Estelle

Now, M.I.A and Estelle .... they both have very unique styles. M.I.A. has more of a retro, pop, "i-don't-give-a-f*#k" kind of look. While Estelle, leans more toward a fresh, couture, "i-just-came-off-the-runway" look. With these two, you can't get them to change. Its jus embedded in them.
BUT!!!!! I just thought it looked bad. I understand your pregnat M.I.A., but I'm sure there was someone, anyone who could have made a maternity dress fit for your style without you looking like a clown. And then Estelle's dress gave her absolutely no shape what so ever. I feel like the dress and hair together added 2o years to her anatomy .... which is just a shame.

Barbie Paris

Last but not least, was Paris Hilton. I honestly don't even know why she was there. BUT!!! anywayyyy, her dress looked like the nightgown set I used to buy for my Barbies way back in the day. It was shiny, girly and barely nething there. Sad thing about this whole look, she probably thought she was cute strutting down the red carpet, letting all the breeze fly you know where.

-----------------

So now with all those failed attempts at award worthy Grammy looks and countless others (f.y.i Paula Abdul), anyone would become discouraged. Fashion critics probably had little to nothing to work with for the "Good Looks" category. However, I had two that caught my attention. Carrie Underwood's gold beaded dress fit her perfectly and it really brought out her beauty. While, Taylor Swift's little black number was fun yet still classy for an event such as the Grammys. It seems like the female country artists know how to really stand out (in a good way) for these kind of things.

U.K. Domination at the 2009 Grammys

Duffy, Adele & Estelle

Well after watching the Grammy's last night (i stopped watching soon after the Swagger Like Us performance) I have to admit that the Grammys were really about our neighbors across the pond. In my opinion, some of the best highlights of the show was seeing British songstresses like Adele, Estelle and Duffy win awards for their work.

Here are the categories that they won in:

Best Female Pop Vocal - Adele
Best New Artist - Adele
Best Pop Vocal Album - Duffy
Best Rap Collaboration - Estelle ft Kanye West

Likewise, you can't forget about heavy weights like Coldplay and Robert Plant (who is he????) that bagged up the following categories:

Record Of The Year - Robert Plant
Best Pop Collaboration w/ Vocals - Robert Plant
Best Country Collaboration w/ Vocals - Robert Plant
Best Contemporary Folk/Americana Album - Robert Plant
Album of the Year - Robert Plant
Best Pop Performance - Coldplay
Song of the Year - Coldplay
Best Rock Album - Coldplay

Finally, some other Grammy wins worth taking note of are:

Best R&B Album - Jennifer Hudson
Rap Album of the Year - Wezzy (really..... was his album that big this year???)
Best Rap Solo Performance - Weezy
Best Rap Song - Weezy
Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group - Weezy
Producer of the Year - Rick Rubin
Best Contemporary R&B Album - Mary J. Blige
Best Female R&B Vocal Solo - Alicia Keys
Male Pop Vocal Performance - John Mayer

The Grammy Family

Ok, so i really didn't wait to long to make my next post. But I couldn't help it. Right before I was about to start my homework (its 2:52 am right now) I came across this little pic of some artist at the Grammy rehearsals:

There's alot of talent in that room. Can't wait for the Grammy's.

First Post!!

Sooooooo my name is Brittany and i just decided to get into this blogging thing for the heck of it. I guarentee i will probably get no hits for the first few posts but i dont care. Let's see how long i will be feeling this. (some1 says i'll give up within a week smh -_-) Basically, I will be writing about new music, fashion, celeb gossip, life experiences and other things of interest (peep the title^). So until the next post, peace n' love.
